Q: What is the drop-off/collection procedure?
A:
Monday – Friday: 8am – 10am and 3pm - 5:30pm
Saturdays: 10am – 11:30am
Sundays: 3 - 5pm
Public Holidays: By prior arrangement only
Please notify us of the estimated time at least 2 days (48hrs) prior to arrival
Please text/Whatsapp when you are on your way (with estimated time) and another when you turn into Fairfield North Street (082 669 1999/082 411 9217)
If you know you are running late please notify us as soon as you know and inform us of the new estimated time of arrival.
We feed between 7:30am and 8:30am and 4:45pm and 5:30pm and plan the times according to booked customer drop-off and pick-up times. Should you fail to let us know of your delay or change in times, please be so kind as to wait and not knock on the window, rattle the gate or stand by the front gate - it disrupts the dogs
Please DO NOT knock on the window or rattle the gate. If we are not outside waiting for you when you stop outside, please send another message first. We will come out as soon as we can.
Please keep your dog in the car until we come out to meet you. Preferably do not come and stand by the gate with your hound(s).
We do not invite you in when you drop off your hound(s). We will allow your dog to see you drive off. As difficult as it may be for you, it is far less traumatic for them to see you go than coming inside whilst you are still outside. We have found with anxious dogs especially that it takes far longer for them to settle down if they do not see their owners drive off, it is as though they think you are still outside for most of their stay.
For your dog's sake and yours we recommend that you say your good-byes at home/in the car and keep the drop as short and sweet as possible, this also helps us get back to the other dogs inside quicker and makes integration smoother. The longer we are outside, the more excited the other dogs get and the more difficult integration is for everyone.
Try not to call unless absolutely necessary. We will not answer the phone during feeding times or when busy with activities with the dogs.
