Liability & Disclaimer & Details
When you drop off your hound we trust that:
- your dog is up to date with its vaccinations and in good health
- your dog is socialized and comfortable with other dogs
- your dog is spayed/neutered
- your dog has a collar with up-to-date tags
- your dog has been treated for ticks/fleas (we charge a compulsory R25 per dog for Capstar treatment upon arrival)
Food
It is required that when you drop your dog off that you leave him/her with us with enough food for the required number of days.
If your dog runs out of food we will feed it at a charge of R20 (additional) per day (this charge may be more if we need to buy special food)
You may provide your dog's own bowl but we do have extra bowls here.
Bedding
There is no need to bring bedding for your dog, however most dogs feel more comfortable having something familiar with them when left my their loved ones. If you like you can bring your dog's bed/blanket(s)/crate. We are not to be held liable for anything you leave here.
Accessories
I take my hounds for walks daily, if you would like your dog to join us on these walks please remember it's collar (with tags) as well as it's leash. It is your responsibility to inform me whether your dog is happy on a leash and what his/her behaviour is like on walks. It is at our discretion that if your dog causes problems on walks he will not be joining as at all/as regularly as two walks a day.
Special Requirements
If your dog has any special requirements (such as medication that needs to be given, specific dietary requirements or allergies, etc) please make sure you tell me. Please make sure you give me the name and number of your VET in case medical history is needed should we need to take your dog to the VET that we use (Dr W Nutt, Welgemoed Dierekliniek).
Contact
Please make sure you give me more than one number on which to contact you, as well as an e-mail address if you will have access to one. Please also remember to give me the name and telephone number of the VET you use and a family member or neighbour should I not be able to reach you.
Unexpected
If I end up needing to take your dog to the VET or your dog requires special attention there may be additional charges (such as VET bills, food, etc)
Pick up and drop off times for overnight stays
If your dog is being picked up from an overnight stay or is being drop off for an overnight stay the following details with regards to rates applies to you:
Pick up by 10am - no charge
Pick up between 10am and 3pm - R50
Pick up after 3pm - R100
Drop off before 1pm - R100
Drop off between 1pm and 5pm - R50
Drop off after 5pm - R30
Pick up/ Drop off before 9am or after 7pm - R30

50% of the total is required upfront to confirm your
Any unexpected cost will be invoiced at the end of the stay which needs to be paid on or before the date you pick up your dog.

Cancellation
Note: Should you want to cancel your reservation, the following will apply:
Cancel 7 weeks prior to check-in date All deposit monies will be refunded less R 100
administration fee.
Cancel 31 days prior to check-in date 50 % of deposit monies will be refunded
Cancel 3 weeks prior to check-in date All deposit monies will be forfeited

I reserve the right to find alternative and appropriate accommodation, at your cost, for your dog should I find that it does not socialize well. I will try to contact you in case of an emergency but should I not be able to get in contact I will use my discretion about the well-being of your dog and take the necessary steps to give it the best care possible.
You leave your dog with me at your own risk and cannot hold me responsible for accidents or unexpected incidents.
I cannot liable for any injury or distress. You leave your animal with me at your own risk and will not hold me accountable in the event of injury or death.
